Agentic Experience Pattern Library
Agentic Experience Pattern Library
The Agentic Experience Pattern Library defines a system of reusable interaction patterns that standardize how AI agents behave across Salesforce products. The initiative addresses the growing need for consistent, trustworthy AI interactions as generative and agentic capabilities expand across the platform.
My Role
Led the design and development of the Agentic Experience Pattern Library for Salesforce AI products
Defined the interaction framework for agentic AI experiences and reusable design patterns
Designed core patterns, including Agentforce panel, Feedback, Citations and more
Managed pattern documentation and the shared Figma library to support scalable adoption
Provided design consulting to product teams building AI features
Drove adoption through office hours, Slack support, and cross-team collaboration
Evangelized the framework across design, product, and engineering organizations
The Challenge
As generative AI rapidly expanded across Salesforce products, teams began designing AI interactions independently. Without shared guidance, this led to inconsistent agent behaviors, unclear trust signals, duplicated design work, and a lack of reusable interaction patterns.
At the same time, agentic AI interaction models were still emerging, and Salesforce products operated on different technical architectures. This made it difficult to establish consistent design standards while supporting rapid innovation across teams.
Without a shared interaction framework, AI experiences risked becoming fragmented and difficult to scale.
The Approach
To address this, I led the creation of the Agentic Experience Pattern Library, defining a flexible interaction framework that standardizes how AI assistants behave across products while allowing teams to adapt patterns to their technical environments.
I established foundational design principles, reusable patterns, and documentation that guide teams designing AI-powered features. I also partnered closely with product and engineering teams to validate feasibility and ensure the framework could scale across different Salesforce platforms.
